2024 OHSAA Boys State Tournament

2023 OHSAA Girls State Tournament

Congratulations to Central District Champions in D2 Doubles from Columbus Academy Arya Chabria and Yasemin Bilgin.  They were State Qualifiers last year as well, and Arya is making her 3rd trip to States.  Isabella Roth and Alexa Roth were D1 District Doubles Finalists.  Isabella was a state qualifier last year.  Lydia Foster, a State qualifier in Singles last year, is making her 3rd trip to States.  Libby Alderman is a previous State Singles qualifier, and her partner Tyra is making her 1st trip to States.

2022 OHSAA Girls State Tournament

 Congratulations to all the Central Ohio girls who qualified for the State Tournament this weekend in Mason at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.  The tournament is on Friday and Saturday.

Congratulations to Central District Champions in doubles Isabella Roth / Ava Richard from Upper Arlington and Arya Chabria / Yasemin Bilgin from Columbus Academy.  Arya was district champion in Singles last year.  Isabella is a junior making her 1st trip to states.  Ava is a senior making her 3rd trip to states in doubles.  Lydia is making her 2nd trip to states, as she made it last year in doubles.  Katie is returning to states for the 4th time, making the final 4 every year.

Ohio Valley District Tournament / Midwest Closed

 

The Ohio Valley District Championships are coming up June 11th - 13th (10 and under June 18th-19th). This used to be the Qualifier for the Midwest Closed, which starts June 25th.  Now, players get into the closed based on ranking and UTR (70 players selected from the most recent National Standings list, 32 players selected from UTR).  There are 26 District Quota players, meaning that there are 2 wild cards that will be awarded to players who compete int the District Tournament.  The draw sizes are 32.  The deadline to sign up is Sunday June 5th.

The Midwest Closed will be June 25 - June 30.  The deadline to sign up is June 15.  The 16s and 18s has moved to Michigan this year.

Congratulations to the Central Ohio Teams to qualify for the OTCA Final 4 - Columbus Academy and Upper Arlington.  They will play on Sunday.
