USTA National Selection Tournament 3rd Place
Congratulations to Robert Cash and Jack Dabek for finishing 3rd in the Boys 14s Doubles at the USTA National Selection tournament last weekend in Austin, Texas. They lost a close match 9-7 in the semifinals.

Universal Tennis Rating Midwest Pilot Program
USTA Midwest is starting a pilot program of integrating UTR (Universal Tennis Rating) into the selection and seeding of players at specific Midwest junior tournaments. Information on the program is here and includes.
• All USTA/Midwest Level 1, 2, and 3 tournaments will seed the top four players in a 64-draw using UTR. In a 128-draw tournament, the top eight seeds will be seeded using UTR.
• For all 2015 USTA/Midwest Level 2 and 3 64-draw tournaments, players will be selected based on the following criteria: o Four (4) players from the top 100 of the most current USTA/Midwest Section standing list in the next lower division; o 52 players using the most current standings list; o Eight (8) players using UTR as long as the players’ UTR is higher than the lowest UTR of a previously selected player from the standings list.
• The April Midwest Level 3 tournaments will be converted to a Level 2, 16-draw tournament played with a compass draw, and a Level 3, 16-draw tournament played with a compass draw. The September Midwest Level 3 tournament will be converted to a 32-draw FIC Level 2 and 32-draw FIC Level 3 tournament. All players will be selected and seeded using UTR.

Midwest Level 4 Champion and Semifinalist
Congratulations to Griffin Biernat for winning the Boys 12s Midwest Level 4 Championships last weekend in Clarkston Michigan. He came back in the finals to win in a 3rd set tiebreaker.

10 and Under Tournament This Weekend
The Racquet Club will host a 10 and Under Orange and Green Ball Earned Advancement Tournament this weekend. The deadline to apply is Wednesday night.
Green Ball will start on Friday night.
Orange Ball will be on Saturday evening.

Midwest Designated Champion
Congratulations to Robert Cash for winning the Boys 14s Midwest Designated Tournament in Kalamazoo yesterday. He won in 3 sets over the 4 seed in the semifinals and then defeated the 3 seed 6-0 6-1 in the finals.
RCC Table Tennis Tournament 2015
The 3rd Annual RCC Table Tennis Tournament was held 2 weeks ago at the Columbus Table Tennis Club. Congratulations to Kai Britz and Erik Britz for winning the tournament. Alex Hulka and Robert Cash were finalists.
