The girls were undefeated in play going into the finals. Paige was playing at JTT Nationals for the 6th time, and also has made 3 trips to WTT Junior Nationals. In the 1st match, Alex Heiden came back from 2-7 in the 3rd set breaker to win 11-9. Griffin came back from down a set in a heated singles match to win 10-2 in the breaker.

18s Adv National Finalists
Congratulations to the 18s Adv RCC team, who reached the Finals of the National Junior Team Tennis Championships last weekend at the USTA National Campus in Florida. They were defeated in the Finals by Austin Tennis Academy. This is the 3rd RCC team who has finished 2nd at Nationals, and is the best result by an 18s Advanced team. The team coached by Zack Schwenning was made up of Sam Routzahn, Paige Kompa, Alex Heiden, Griffin Biernat, Zoey Weil and Maddie Atway.

18s Int JTT Nationals
Congratulations to the 18s Int RCC Midwest Championship team who competed last weekend at the Junior Team Tennis Nationals in Orlando at the USTA National Campus. The team was made up of Ella Hazelbaker, Nick Geelan, Wendy Shi, Noah Mizer, Will Newberry, Evelyn Holman, Jack Rardon and Stanley Cao.
The team was in a really close flight, finishing one game out of 2nd place. They defeated Southwest, and lost to Missouri Valley and Middle States.
They finished the tournament with 2 wins over Southern and Carribean to finish 13th. Ella Hazelbaker finished undefeated for the weekend.

RCC Green Ball Single Day Showdown
Last weekend, there was a 10s Single Day Showdown at the Racquet Club. Congratulations to Karan Shankar for winning the Boys 10s. There were lots of close matches in the tournament.

JTT Nationals
RCC sent 2 teams to compete at the Junior Team Tennis Nationals in Florida at the USTA National Campus this weekend. The 18s Adv and the 18s Int teams were Midwest Champions and will play tomorrow at the National Championships.
The 18s Adv team, which finished 5th at Nationals last year, is made up of Alex Heiden, Sam Routzahn, Griffin Biernat, Paige Kompa, Maddie Atway, and Zoey Weil, and was coached by Zack Schwenning. Also on the team during the season were Arya Dudipala, Lalasa Nagireddy, Colten Clark, Josh Cole, Robert Cash and Elliot Jones.
