Preparation Plants Confidence

This is a great post from Dan Rouhier How Do You Handle Pressure
It talks about MLB Cy Young Winner Cliff Lee, and how in big moments he looks back on all the hard work he's done to prepare for the moment.. Confidence comes from knowing that you have done the preparation necessary to perform. In practice, try and grow confidence daily by giving everything you have.

Using Notebook and Connecting Training to Longterm Goal

This is a great blog by Daniel Coyle, The 3 Levels of Effective Practice
discussing connecting training sessions to one's longterm goal. Everyone who has a longterm goal includes competing in tournament tennis and college tennis should have a notebook. The author points out this is a great tool to increase one's focus and effort in practice. Just as in physical training, players will get the most out of their practice from pushing themselves past their comfort zone repeatedly with full commitment.
